A mobility period of three to six months will be an integral part of the program. During this time, the fellows of the IRTG will be working and studying at one of the foreign partner institutions, i.e. Fudan University, Shanghai or Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Vice versa, the Chinese fellows of the program will be integrated into the IRTG at one of the German partner institutions (preferably Chemnitz) and take part in the courses, as well as in any social and cultural events the Research Training Group may be planning.
The mobility period is intended to strengthen the relations between the partner institutions and subprojects on the one hand, and the individual graduate student on the other.
